Who am I?
This is me, Paul Hardingham (on the right!!). I am 37(ish),
married to Joanne and we have a gorgeous child called Grace. In May
2003 we movied to Perth, Scotland - not because we had to, but because

My top 10 tips for success:
1) Do not expect to get rich in any business in less
than 5 years (unless you invent a search engine better than Google!)
2) Plan short and medium term goals (but be realistic), and
aim for them.
3) Determine your real reason for starting your own business and regularly
remind yourself why you are doing it (if you do not have a genuine
reason or long term aim, I guarantee you will fail)
4) Plan consistent effort - and then do it!
(There are millions of people in the UK with "ideas" to
make money, but very few do. Why? Simply because most people never
get off their backsides and do something about their ideas. They like
to be told what to do. That's why they have a job in the first place.
If you're fed up being told what to do, then you are an ideal candidate
to become a millionaire)
5) Keep your sense of humour (it can be very tough at times)
6) Follow someone who is already successful. Why listen to
advice from friends and relatives about "freedom" when clearly
they haven't got a better answer. (If you are looking for a good tutor,
I'd be more than happy to help you get started in business)
7) Get your work life balance right. Make a life for yourself
whilst earning a living.
8) To be in the top 10% in earners in the UK, you need to think
and act differently to 90% of the population who have proven
they don't have the answer.
9) Understand that to build a real business takes time and
money. If there really was a get rich quick system that cost nothing
to operate, you'd know hundreds of people who had done it by now -
but do you? No, of course not. The only way you can get rich quick
is to rob a bank or win the lottery. I don't recommend you seriously
rely on either of these methods!
10) Understand the big difference between working for
someone else (i.e. having a job) and working for yourself. When you
work for yourself, you earn your true worth.
11) Never limit youself to the normal rules i.e. when someone asks
you for your top 10 tips for success, give them 11!
